How StarTap works

The game

• Each tap on the Star earns stars for your project and uses 1 energy. You have 1000 energy, and it refills at 3 per second.
• Spend stars on sources that earn stars on their own: Coffee Machine, PearBook Pro, AI Copilot Max, Employee, Marketing Dept, Launch Day, VC Money, Unicorn, IPO. Each extra copy of a source costs 15% more than the last.
• Sources keep earning for 8h after you leave. Come back to keep them going.
• Spending never lowers your rank. The all-time board ranks every star you have ever earned.
• The Today board counts stars earned since 00:00 UTC. The day's winner gets a crown.

The Banner

Put the StarTap Banner on your homepage and your project earns ×1.5 stars from taps and sources. We check it once a day. If it's missing on two checks in a row, the boost switches off until it's back.

Owning your domain

One project per domain. Anyone can add a site, but the domain's owner can reclaim it at any time by proving control with a meta tag or DNS record. Reclaimed projects restart at zero, and the person who added someone else's domain gets a strike. Three strikes and the account is banned.

Fair play

Auto-clickers, scripts and multiple accounts don't help. The server decides what every tap is worth, energy caps how much tapping can earn, and suspicious tapping quietly earns less. Accounts that game the board are removed.

Content policy

No scams, phishing, malware, adult content, hate, gambling or sites that break the law. Projects reported by several makers are hidden until a moderator reviews them.

Stars are points in a game. They have no cash value and can't be bought, sold or transferred. Product names in the game are parody.
